Today's Prescription: Mixing Prints for Fall

Happy Mixed Prints Monday ya’ll!

Fall has finally touched down here in Charleston, and that means wardrobes are transitioning, but prints are here to stay. I know prints can sometimes be associated with super bright colors, but you can mix your prints and still have your warmer tones for cooler seasons. So, let’s talk about my look with three short tips!

  1. Stay Away from Bright Colors: Put away all of your neon pieces, Hot Girl Summer is over! Choose a print that is still bold, has color, but flows well with the season. To shop my zebra print skirt, click here. It’s on sale!

  2. Pick a Theme for Your Look: What do you want your look to say? What ideas do you want others to draw from it? This doesn’t have to be obvious, but for today’s look, I went for “Animal Print in the Fall” by combining two bold animal prints, with warmer tone colors.

  3. Choose Prints that Work Well Together: Mixing prints doesn’t mean any and every print will mesh well, so don’t force it. I knew with this skirt, polka dots may not have been the best choice, so what better print than leopard? It worked out perfectly! This top is a dress, btw. Sometimes you have to use what you have to get what you want.

Fall is here ya’ll, so let’s welcome it with the right looks! Mix your prints, and mix them well! If you have any tips for mixing prints in the Fall, let me know below in the comments. For more mixed prints, be sure to follow me on Instagram sis!

I love ya’ll, be blessed, and stay fab!

XOXO,

Zaria
