Today's Prescription: April Wedding Update

Happy Wedding Wednesday ya’ll! It’s been forever since I’ve written a blog post or even updated ya’ll on this wedding. TBH, I didn’t feel like it. With everything going on with COVID-19, your girl just hasn’t been feeling it! I’m still physically going to work every day, and though I’m grateful to still have my job, I am exhausted! Regardless, I hope ya’ll are safe and doing what you need to in order to stay sane in these crazy times.

Okay, now on to this update.

New Venue

As you all know, we lost our venue with NOAH’s back in January, but look at God, we have a new venue that I’m absolutely in love with! Though we had to push the date back two weeks due to availability, it may be for the best with everything up in the air right now. All our vendors are available for our new date so that is a plus as well. Everyone was super supportive to help us, so this transition was very smooth.

Save the Dates

This task here. Getting this done took way more than I thought it would. Due to having to change the date, we had to order a new set of save the dates. That was very frustrating. On top of that, Ciapha didn’t mail his out until a month after I mailed mine. I just had to laugh to keep from going crazy. Even with all the chaos, I must give thanks to Zola, they have been such a big help during this process and our Save the Dates were gorgeous!

Dresses

Okay, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little stressed on this one. I got my dress from Winnie Couture in Charlotte, but due to the Rona, North Carolina is on lockdown. Though my dress is ready, I can’t get my baby just yet. Ya’ll pray for me. Luckily, my bridesmaids’ dresses have been arriving to them just fine. Small wins.

Vendors

As I stated above, all of my vendors are available for our new wedding date. They have been so accommodating and I’m so grateful for each one of them! I can’t stress how important it is to stay in contact with your vendors during times like this. I literally feel like I have my own wedding dream team to make my day unforgettable.

I think that’s all I have for now boos. For my 2020 brides, keep the faith. We are all in this together! I’ll be sure to keep ya’ll updated as I move forward in this process!

I love ya’ll, be blessed, and stay fab!

XOXO,

Zaria
