Today's Prescription: June Wedding Update

Happy Wedding Wednesday boos! Long time, no posts. I know, I know. Bear with your girl, it’s called life. I hope you all are well and living your best lives despite the craziness going on in this world. I can’t believe we are 59 days away from our big day!  Okay, for the update.

COVID-19 & Our Wedding

We are moving forward with our wedding, judge your mama. If it were up to us, we would have pushed it back, but the venue decided to move forward, and we are not about to lose money.  With COVID-19, everyone will be practicing social distancing, we will have plenty of masks, hand sanitizer, and a cleaning crew all day. The show must go on.

Invites

We finally got these bad boys out! This process was a lot smoother than dealing with the Save the Dates because we already had guest addresses, so I only had to deal with designing the actual invitations. Thank you Zola for making my life so much easier!

My Wedding Dress

I finally got my dress ya’ll. It’s BEAUTIFUL! I love it, I love it! I purposely didn’t look at my dress after I chose it months ago because I wanted to be mesmerized when I saw it again. Needless to say, I made the right choice. Of course, I need some alterations because your girl is a little tiny, but after that, I have no plans of seeing it until the day of the wedding. I cannot wait to walk down the aisle in it.

Changes

When it comes to planning a wedding, nothing really goes as planned, right? Well that has definitely been the case for us. There have been so many replacements in the wedding party, a new venue, and a new date. You name it, it’s most likely not what we had in the beginning. The final straw for me was losing Ciapha’s dad just three months before he was supposed to marry us. This journey to marriage has been such a test, but we’re keeping the faith. It’s been super helpful to have such supportive people in our circle.

Well, that’s all I have for now boos and baes! Again, I can’t believe we’re 59 days away from saying I DO. I can’t wait. Ya’ll pray for us in the meantime.

I love ya’ll, be safe, and stay fab!

XOXO,

Zaria
